Aashil Shah, DDS
Dr. Aashil Shah was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — a city that taught him the value of hard work, community, and unwavering loyalty. A lifelong Steelers fan through and through, he carries that same pride and dedication into his patients' care every single day.
Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from NYU College of Dentistry. During dental school, he was selected for the Veterans Honors Program, providing pro bono care to U.S. veterans — an experience that deepened his commitment to dentistry as an act of service. He then completed his General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where he developed a strong clinical foundation in complex, hospital-based patient care.
His philosophy is simple: lead with compassion, prioritize prevention, and make every patient feel genuinely heard and cared for — not just treated.
Outside the office, Dr. Shah enjoys golf, tennis, and perfecting his homemade pizza. He is devoted to his wife and their baby daughter, and is truly honored to serve the Altamonte Springs community as your family's dental home.

A New Chapter for a Practice Altamonte Springs Already Trusts
Avora Dental didn't start from scratch — it grew out of something already loved. For 12 years, this practice served the families of Altamonte Springs as Spa Touch Dentistry, founded by Dr. Mark Halek on a simple idea: that going to the dentist shouldn't feel clinical or cold. It should feel calm. Comfortable. Like being cared for.
When I took the reins, I saw no reason to lose what made this place special. The soothing, spa-like atmosphere patients had come to rely on stays exactly as it is. What's new is the vision behind it.
I founded Avora Dental to build on that foundation of comfort and add something more: a modern, transparent approach to care for people who want to genuinely improve their smile — without the intimidating price tags that make so many put it off. I believe exceptional, comprehensive dentistry shouldn't be a luxury reserved for a few. It should be accessible, honest, and built around what each patient actually needs.
