Cosmetic Dentistry & Veneers
A smile makeover, designed like a work of art
Veneers are thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth, shaped and shaded one tooth at a time. They change color, shape, length, and the look of small gaps or chips at once, which whitening cannot. Avora Dental also offers whitening, bonding, and full smile makeovers. Starting prices and before-and-after photos are below. We design the result digitally so you can preview it first.

What porcelain veneers can change
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your teeth. Because they're shaped and shaded individually, they can change several things at once: color, shape, length, and the look of small gaps, chips, or uneven edges. That's what sets them apart from whitening, which only changes color.
Veneers, whitening, or bonding?
The right treatment depends on what's actually bothering you. Whitening is a good fit when your teeth are the shape you want but stained. Bonding can repair a small chip or gap in one visit. Veneers make sense when you want a more complete, longer-lasting change to shape and color. Often, patients whiten first to set a baseline shade, then choose veneers for specific teeth.

How we design your smile
We start by listening: what you like about your smile, what you'd change, and what would feel natural on you. Then we use digital smile design to map the result, so you can preview it before any treatment begins. Shape, length, and shade are planned around your face and your bite, not chosen from a chart.
The exact number of visits depends on your plan, and we outline it at your consultation so there are no surprises.
What to know before you commit
How much enamel comes off depends on the tooth and on what the veneer has to correct, and the design we build for you shows which teeth would need preparing at all. We keep preparation as conservative as we can and only recommend veneers when they're the right fit. If a lighter option would meet your goals, we'll say so.
How long do veneers last?
With good care, porcelain veneers commonly last 10 to 15 years, and sometimes longer. You'll extend their life by brushing and flossing normally, avoiding chewing ice or using your teeth as tools, wearing a nightguard if you grind, and keeping up your regular checkups.

Questions
Common questions about veneers and cosmetic dentistry
Placing veneers typically involves removing a thin layer of enamel, so the treatment is generally considered permanent. The veneers themselves may need to be replaced eventually, which is why we keep preparation conservative and only recommend them when they're right for your goals.
We use local anesthetic when needed so you're comfortable during treatment. Some patients notice temporary sensitivity afterward, which usually settles.
That's the goal. Each veneer is custom shaped and shaded to suit your face, your bite, and your neighboring teeth, and you'll preview the design before treatment begins.
Care for them like natural teeth: brush and floss daily, keep up regular cleanings, avoid chewing hard objects, and wear a nightguard if you grind your teeth.
Veneers can improve the appearance of minor crowding, gaps, and uneven edges. If your bite or alignment needs correcting, another treatment such as clear aligners may be recommended first, and we'll discuss which is the better path.
Cost depends on how many teeth are treated and the complexity of your plan, so we confirm it at your consultation and put it in writing before you commit. Financing options are available.
