In-network dental insurance in Altamonte Springs

The carriers we are in network with are listed below. If yours is not among them, you can still be seen here as an out-of-network patient. Send your plan details with your appointment request, or call (407) 774-4433, and we'll verify your benefits before your visit. You'll have your estimate in writing before any treatment starts.

Coverage varies by plan. Call us at (407) 774-4433 or send your insurance details with your appointment request and we'll verify your benefits before your visit.

What to bring to your first visit

Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of the medications you take. If another dentist X-rayed your mouth in the last year, bring those images or ask that office to send them over. Aim to arrive about 15 minutes early so the paperwork is finished before your appointment time rather than inside it.

If you would rather have the insurance side settled before you walk in, send your plan details with your appointment request. The front desk will have your numbers ready when you get here.

  • Your carrier and your member ID number
  • The subscriber's name and date of birth, if the plan is not in your name
  • The group or plan number, if your card shows one
  • A photo ID and a list of your current medications
  • Recent X-rays from a previous dentist, if you have them

How we verify your benefits

Verification happens before you sit in the chair. We call your carrier with your plan details and ask what the plan pays toward a new patient exam and a cleaning. We ask how much of your annual maximum is still available, and whether your deductible has been met for the year.

What comes back is an estimate, not a decision. Carriers quote benefits against the plan as written, and the final figure depends on which treatment codes get submitted and how the plan applies them. We will tell you which parts of the estimate are solid and which could still move.

Coverage is set by your employer and your carrier, not by us. We can read your plan back to you in plain language and we can file the claim on your behalf. We cannot change what the plan pays.

If your plan is out of network

Out of network does not mean uncovered. Some plans pay toward care from a dentist they hold no contract with, usually at a lower level than they would pay in network. Some plans pay nothing at all. It varies.

The only way to know is to check your plan, so let us check it. We file the claim either way, so you are not the one chasing paperwork or waiting on a reimbursement form. If your plan turns out to pay nothing toward a treatment, you will see that number before you agree to it.

What an annual maximum actually means

Most dental plans cap what they will pay out in a benefit year. That cap is the annual maximum. Once your treatment reaches it, the plan stops paying and the balance is yours. The cap resets when the next benefit year begins, and whatever you did not use does not carry over.

This matters most when a treatment plan is large. If you are near your maximum and the work can safely wait, we can often stage it across two benefit years so more of it falls inside coverage. Ask us to map the dates for you. Sometimes the answer is that waiting would cost you the tooth, and we will say that too.

Paying for the rest

Whatever your insurance leaves behind can usually be spread out. We offer financing on larger treatment plans, including implant and cosmetic work, and the front desk will go through the options with you at your visit. We publish starting prices for our most requested treatments, and your own figure is confirmed in writing at your consultation.

Here is the commitment. Nothing starts until you hold a written plan with your cost on it and you have said yes. No treatment gets added partway through an appointment, and no bill turns up later for something nobody mentioned.
