How clear aligners work
Clear aligners are a series of custom, nearly invisible trays that move your teeth a little at a time. You switch to the next tray on schedule, and Dr. Shah monitors your progress and adjusts the plan if something isn't tracking as expected.
What aligners can and can't treat
Aligners work well for mild to moderate crowding, spacing, and minor bite issues. More complex movements or severe misalignment may be better handled with braces. At your consultation we'll tell you honestly which is the right tool for your teeth.
Doctor-directed, not mail-order

What to expect
Treatment starts with a consultation and a digital scan. From there we build your plan and walk you through it. Aligners work best when worn about 20 to 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth. Expect some pressure or mild soreness when you start each new tray, which usually fades in a day or two. Most patients wear a retainer afterward to keep the results.
